11/11 is remembrance day or Armistice Day for here in the Australia too. If you don't know why its on the 11/11, then do some history on WW1 for gods sake.
Australia has ANZAC day too.

Indeed here in the U.S. this is Veteran's Day.
But to the U.K. and Australia its more like their version of our Memorial Day. Which when we remember all the fallen that have fought in wars for the the U.S.
